Here some information on how maritime transport is done.
Most of our machines are in our workshop in the port of Hamburg or working on the site of our rental customers on the terminals. As we are inside the port we have several possibilities to ship your machine to your port of destination. We cooperate with several shipping lines like and can assist you with transport & shipment of used machines.
It is also possible to ship the machines from other ports like Antwerp, Amsterdam, Bremerhaven if this is more suitable.
We also take care of the heavy road transport for bringing the machine to the shipment terminal and also take care of customs documents and documents of the chamber of commerce if necessary.
Sometimes the sea connections allow a transport of the machine in a completely assembled state in a piece on a roro ship. This is the case for a big forklift or reachstacker, which usually have a maximum height of 4,700 mm.
However, roro transport is very expensive or there is no sea connection to the port of destination. Therefore the machine has to be dismantled. When dismantling the machine we mark the hydraulic and electrical connections with colours so that the assembly is not complicated.
The sea transport is done as you can see in the pictures.
If it is a reachstacker / containerstacker we ship as follows :
If it is an empty container handler / container forklift we ship as follows :
